Accessory Mount for Extralite CH-02
An alternative to the Extralite GP-02, this 2 Prong Accessory Mount made for the Extralite CH-02 outfront mount with Titanium main bolt.
Design:
At the time of design, the GP-02 was unavailable in the UK and having had some bad luck with metal mounts figured there was room to try something different.
This mount features a titanium countersunk bolt, like the concave and convex washers used in classic post-mount brake assemblies, this offers float. As the prongs shift from 45 to 44.5 degrees, the countersunk bolt adjusts to maintain a straight line with the threaded interface. Combined with the compliant properties of nylon 12, this allows the mount to conform more closely to the mounting surface. Keeping the load path perpendicular, enabling greater movement range while achieving higher force with reduced torque. In simple terms, it minimises the likelihood of slippage
