Centrelock Disc Shim Spacer 0.5mm (4 Pack)
Overview:
Two 0.5mm shims for centrelock / centerlock disc rotor shims providing a total of 1mm of shimming. Made from 304 2B stainless steel.
Design:
The shims are laser-cut from corrosion-resistant stainless steel. While this design might seem straightforward compared to some of our more niche products, at the time, only split rings were available—and they came at a surprisingly high cost. Seeing an opportunity for a more tailored solution, we decided to create something bespoke. It took several prototypes and manufacturers to achieve the right finish and tolerance.
Requirements / Compatability:
It is not common for customers to purchase these looking for 6bolt shims so be aware, that these only work with centrelock hubs.
Instructions:
Install these the same way you would a rotor, be sure to make sure it is fully seated before installing the rotor and torque to 40nm.
Ensure the lock ring has at least 5mm of visible thread before tightening when using one or both shims. From my experience with Hunt, Mavic, and Reynolds wheels using Shimano lock rings, the standard lock ring is usually long enough to accommodate both shims while still providing sufficient thread engagement.
